Hello Falcon Families,
At the Board meeting on August 10th, the Florence-Carlton School Board voted to delay the opening of school until September 13th. This will allow teachers to move into their new spaces and arrange their classrooms for a proper opening of school. We plan to have a meet and greet for families on September 8th from 6:00-7:30 where parents can meet the teachers and see the progress made on the new building.
The Jackson Construction Group has been a great partner in this process and their hard work will be on display when our community tours the building. Although many of the spaces will be turned over to us prior to the start of school, there will be active construction for the next seven to eight months to complete the project. Parents can look for a Q/A invite in the coming days to discuss the opening of school and what to expect going forward.
