.School Board Opening: Florence-Carlton School District
Are you interested in representing your community and shaping the future of our schools? Due to a recent resignation, the Florence-Carlton School District has an immediate opening for a one-year school board trustee appointment.
Key Details:
Term: June 9, 2026, through April 2027. (Note: To complete the remainder of this 3-year term after April 2027, the appointed candidate must run in the standard election process).
Eligibility: Applicants must be registered voters residing within the Florence-Carlton School District boundaries.
Selection Process: Eligible candidates will give a brief presentation at the regularly scheduled Board Meeting on June 9, 2026, sharing why they wish to serve. The Board will select the new trustee following the presentations.

Florence Carlton Middle School’s Community Service class is collecting gently used books for elementary-aged students.
